Throughout the decades, QEB Hollis Whiteman has been consistently involved in the most high profile cases; from the Krays to Kenny Noye and more recently Baby P and the Hammer Murderer Levi Bellfield. All members of the Police Discipline Team are also criminal practitioners who bring the advocacy skills and forms of robust challenge of the criminal courts to the arena of Police Discipline. We understand the context in which police operate. Several of the team are ex police officers.

The team  is aware of the stress and the difficulties discipline can bring. As a result, our team provides a tailored personal response to each case, never forgetting that careers are often in jeopardy. Members of the Team specialise in providing representation and advice in Misconduct cases, Police Appeals Tribunals and Coroners Inquests.

Members of the team have been responsible for drafting Force policies, advising upon the use of surveillance in misconduct hearings, acting as legal assessors and providing advocacy training to Federation representatives throughout the country. 

QEB Hollis Whiteman has a notably strong reputation for advising and representing the Association of Chief Police Officers and the Serious Organised Crime Agency, particularly in relation to the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA).
